Unusually for the Speyside region, this expression is distilled using heavily peated malt, achieving a substantial 50 ppm phenol content. Aged for a decade in traditional oak casks, it offers a beautifully balanced profile where the intense smoke is tempered by the natural sweetness of the malt. On the nose, expect rich notes of bonfire smoke, medicinal peat, and maritime salt, which give way to a palate of sweet honey, vanilla, and gentle spice, culminating in a long, warming, and smoky finish.
